Just completed my 1st 500 miles in my 2013 QQ360 1.6 and have calculated the real mpg to be 39.5 which i consider reasonable as this has included mainly around town driving, mainly 17 mile round trips, a couple of short 3-10 mile journeys and 4 x 50 mile motorway trips, all done at between 55-65 mph.

Will keep updating as time goes by.Smile

I do a decent mix of town and motorway (75 mph with the cruise control on) and I am seeing a genuine 39mpg week in, week out. I've got a 2000 mile round trip to the south of France coming up in a few weeks so I will be intrigued to see how that goes!

2nd fill up....so here's my scores on the doors (blimey that dates me LOL)

412.2 miles done between fill ups. mainly 17 mile trips to work along with 4 x 50 mile round trips and a few shorter journeys and 1 day when my wife had the QQ so was driven with her leaden foot lol.

I use the cruise control on the motorway set at 58mph (my OCD says that I cannot set to odd number or 60mph ...dont ask!)
Todays fill up 47.1 litres

so by my reckoning 39.8mpg with which i am happy...dash read out is 42.3mpg

I use km/h and can set it at 1 km steps, and 1 km/h is equal to about 0.6mph so maybe it has trouble rounding things off, or something. Pfff cars, I swear they're dumb.

Another week another fill up

496 miles travelled since last fill up...56.02litres needed to fill to full
by my calculations that is 40.25mpg. (Dash reading 42.7mpg)

Bonus was petrol purchased at 104.9pence per litre....Thanks to a bulk purchase of bog roll from Mr T. which gave 30p per litre off.

so after the 1st six weeks of owning the average "real" mpg is 39.79
This is for a mixture of "round town" short trips and 40-50 mile motorway runs.

All in all I am happy so far with that.

Just got back from two fantastic weeks in Vendee Region of France & am very impressed with my Qashqais mpg for the holiday.
first time with Qashqai  we managed to get from home to the site (via Portsmouth-Caen Ferry) on one tank of fuel, same coming back! Never been able to do that before in six visits to same place (I think the QQ tank is same size as Zafira)
488 mile trip with 50 miles left in tankSmile

1012 miles over the whole holiday
trip readout says 40mpg & I calculate the same Smile
that was keeping to French speed limits - 50, 70, 90, 110 & 130kmh (though only did 120)
kids DVD plugged in for part of journeys
lights on at night
AirCon on & off in France (no need for constant use)
readout still says 70 miles to go in tank

I have started putting Redex in the tank as well, so not sure if that is doing anything.

one other cool things with the Qashqai trip computer is the ability to change the units from miles to Km SmileSmile meant we could carry on using the cruise & limit controls to French limits & not guess at what it was in mph

cheers

496miles travelled at 39.9mpg (real) 41.9mpg (by the dash)

Real average over the 1st 3700miles of driving is currently 40.2 mpg with which i am more than happy.SmileThumbs Up

Am just 50 miles short of doing 4000 miles in my 2013 Tekna and I'm getting a pretty consistent 40.0 mpg over a mixture of town, rural A roads and motorway. Aircon on most of the time and often heavily laden (camping equipment, full top box etc).

I'm very impressed as this is certainly more than I expected.

My 2009 Tenka is pulling about 41/42 MPG on a 120 round trip 3 days a week. On average before that it was 38 MPG on average daily trips to work. Much happiness with those figures but trading in in September for the 1.6 DCi Tenka with 4WD because of the mileage I have to do now.Thumbs Up
The 4WD will hopefully come into itself during the winter months on those long runs.Wink
