i just wondered if anyone has replaced the air con condenser on a J10.

and if they had , was it easy?

do i have to remove front bumper.
i realise i have to remove fans and radiator.

i did some research on forum and read a post from 2013 that someone paid £50 to their local garage to fit it. that seems to be cheap labour.

my car is J10 Tekna 1.6DCI 2013.

thanks in advance.

Have you considered a Haynes Manual for the J10?  My copy shows in detail the process for removal/replacement of the condenser.   Its considered a 4/5 difficulty rating for the DIYer.

yes , i have one.
it says remove radiator first for access then condenser , but makes no mention of having to remove bumper.
that's what i'm really trying to find out if it is necessary to do so

The manual does not mention the bumper, suggesting the condenser can be removed without touching it.

I'd say "No". My Qashqai is now 8 years old with some 93,000 miles on the clock - I never ever had a stone hit the condenser or other faults with the condenser....
