I don't think you can fit an auto to a manual, far easier to just trade it in.

I was in a similar position when I developed a problem in my left foot, and over a few months of doctor visits it turned out my Qashqai was the cause of it, the clutch pedal had severely stiffened up.  It was a vicious circle, due to the pain in my foot/leg, I moved my chair back to stretch out more, but if your clutch leg is too straight, when you press the clutch it uses the fine control muscles within your foot - not designed for strength.  If your knee is bent beyond 70 degrees, then it starts to use your calf muscles which are designed for strength, going up stairs etc.

Moving my chair forward so it used the proper muscles helped a bit, but I traded it in for an auto.

You can do the "finger test" on your clutch pedal, see how many fingers it takes to press your clutch all the way to the floor.   I couldn't do it with 1, 2, and struggled using my whole hand and needed to get the second hand involved.

Tried it on a few friends and family colleagues and it was enlightening, some cars I could press the clutch all the way down with my little finger!   When I realised this and that I couldn't even do it with the whole hand, was time for that QQ to go...

I'm on my fifth CVT Qashqai and although I preferred the earlier ones I can recommend them.
