I leave my Wipers on Auto all the Time. Occasionally I will get in the Car with no Rain Fallen and the wipers will make a Swish when i turn on the ignition. Not really a problem unless it Smears the Screen with the remnants off the Previous days Splatted flies and Dust!!!...Angry...didnt know if any one else had this...Confused

Hi,

This is one reason why I don't have my wipers on auto.
At least until I am sure there won't be anymore frosts.

I have visions of turning on my ignition on a frosty morning and the wipers trying to prise themselves of the ice and getting ruined in the process.  :(

Even when I do use them on auto they are a bit 'hit n miss' sometimes.

Yeah the sensor gets fooled sometimes Affy....but it is normal and not just affecting your car.  I use auto pretty much all the time but during the winter I did get in the habit of turning them to off just so I controlled filly when they came on after starting the engine.

The Auto wipers are pants! Rather have intermittent you can change the time of. Much better.
Also the outside temp sensor is pants! But I have said this before.
