My query is for my fellow members who own QQ's as to what wax they may use
 as I want to keep it nice when I get mine? as I have let my present car go a bit if I wash & polish it takes it out of me due medical problems? at one time I use to spend up to 4 hours on a sunday and it would annoy the hell out of Xwife at the time? so a good wax to protect it!

Magnetic red QQ Acenta1.5 dci has now gone to auction?. ,I have now picked up my Volvo V40 D2 Cross Country Lux.

the best and easiest ive used is dodo juice purple haze but comes in varietys for different colours ,its easy to put on and even easier to take of and you can see the shine you get if you look at mine ,although there are a few more steps to my programme

Hi, I'm new here, the best car polish I have used is Carnuba Gold, over £50 a pot, but worth every penny. I have a '72 Hillman Avenger Tiger, I would only ever use Carnuba on, the colour it brings through is far more intense & deep than anything else I have ever used (Autoglym, Mer, etc)

dodo juice is a carnuba wax with the added bonus of montan wax which comes from coal and is perfect for dark colours and with a hint of lavender is a pleasure to use jules
ill keep an eye out for carnuba gold

Has anyone had any dealings with the Showroom Shine, it says that it is a three in one. I know I am being lazy, but I think it could be too good to be true from the video.

Personally I like "Mer" - it does a very good job for the lack of effort it requires & it's cheap. It's not the best shine out there - but it is one of the laziest and most reliable & it lasts quite well.
The small-time trade use it quite a lot.

i use mer on my caravan to great effect but its an abrasive so wouldnt use it on my car other than to occasionally remove all the wax ect ready to start waxing again

yeh it comes in varietys to suit your paint ,you just want dodo for light coloured paint

a good wash with dodojuice lime prime will clean it all off ready fr the new coat but personally i have just been topping it up so far

dodo juice supernatural is the only thing better than the dodo colour charged waxes but for value for money id agree with craig and go for the colour charged waxes like the purple haze or light fantastic etc

yeah the sample pots (sometimes called Panel Pots) are much smaller versions and work out a lot more expensive, however they are great if you just want to try before you buy a big tub..

You can easily get 6 or 7 coats on a QQ including the glass roof, and you can sometimes get a full size pot for less than £30 including p/p on ebay. |

thought this might interest some of you, seems like a decent deal to me... the supernatural wax alone costs £76 on ultimate finish, good starter detailing kit for a newbie... i already have most of it(other brands or products similar) so its no use to me but it looks good...
if you look on ebay shop they have all the other waxes in place of SN aswell, soft wax in replacement (ie purple haze) are £99 and hard such as blue velvet are £95

You'd be scared to use that...one of my mates is a Swissvax auhtorised detailer. he's got that REALLY expensive stuff in a clear box.

Haha craig yeah im sure you did, i seen that paul dalton stuff bets its good, i noticed the swissvax do certain waxes for different manufacturers, such as samurai wax for japanese paint/manufacture and one for porsche one for bmw ect....
hamish this the stuff you mean
i posted a link to this about a week ago for fishy to buy lol....
im not sure but this stuff is apparently hand blended to suit your specific car, so wouldnt it be a bit useless to a detailer as they would be better with the paul dalton stuff or something for generally all cars instead of a specific one as to what ive read the measure and test your paint before hand blending!!
