Hello everyone.

I have a Qashqai Tekna 2013.

I want to upgrade my connect system, but don't want to loose the feature i have, like the 360 reverse cameras, audio sounds for speed camera's, the hands free kit.

I was looking at this and wanted to know if anyone else has purchased it and installed it.

Because it runs Android it opens up so much features, including TPMS,
OBD2 comparability, I can use my own Sat Nav, instead of the crap Nissan one, album art for music, the list goes on.

is it worth it.

The wiring look straight forward, mainly plug and play.

here is a link for the unit, your opinion is much appreciated.

I dont think it will be a problem as only the speakers cables and power supply are split to power the android screen. The camera is usually on a separate connector which would remain in the Connect Unit.

thanks Evo

the wiring looks easy, and I think that the audio will be sent through the Aux in the connect system.

do any members have this unit that comment on it.

Would like to see how you get on with this.

I've looked into replacing the connect a couple times as I think the screen is too small, and the main issue that I've not yet seen complete confirmation of how to work around, is the camera button. As you can see on the unit you've shown above (if its accurate) is that there is no camera button. So while you would have your 360 cameras still when putting the car into reverse you would have no other way of invoking the camera display.

Now from what I've read the 360 cameras are controlled by their own module and its just a single feed from that to the head unit for the video feed, but there seems to be problems getting a 5v source to turn it on. This was all from an Australia forum.

Please keep us updated on any progress you make.

I think until you wire it up and try it, there will be many questions.

This is the one I want to get, but as you can see... no camera button.

sorry for the late reply, I was looking at that unit as well, but on the description it does show the 360 with the camera button and a statement say that it is not comparable.

All the the good units are available for the 2014 onwards, they need to make a unit for the 2013 and below.
