It's quite normal.

I visited my showroom so often that they are inviting me to the staff Christmas party this year.

I feel your pain mate.
Myself and the wife placed our n-tec order last August (6th) and didn't get the car until November 24th...

...the 18" alloys were the hold up, if we'd accepted the 17" alloys we could have had the car mid October.
I spent far to many hours on here whiling away the time but it had benefits - without this site I would not have had the forethought to check the serial number on the rear shocks (which were causing headaches) and that the windows weren't slow to come back up. Both of these minor niggles I had no knowledge of until I came across this fantastic site - really is worth it's weight in gold.

So go on, knock yourself out reading through the hundreds of threads and before you know it the Qashqai keys will in your hand....and that colour Nightshade, well I love it mate - best I've had.

Trust me, those supurb alloys and deep paint finish will have you up and curtain twitching at your n-tec for weeks (when you finally get it homeWink)

Cheers, Steve (n-tec in Nightshade ownerThumbs Up)
n-tec 1.5DCi Nightshade...the wait is over! What a car, love every aspect of it.

No, Craig, you're not the only one. I am exactly the same. Car arrives next week for me, but still finding myself going to my local dealer to have another look at the cars- just can't curb my excitement !
Also, as Mr Welling says, this website is worth its weight in gold- has been a great source of advice since I ordered the car. Been reading every thread on here !
Hope you get your car really soon !

A 'must have'.Thumbs Up

Sometimes I just sit in my car in the garage to get my 'fix' for the day. LOL

PS: One extra point to watch for though is that your lumbar adjustment is working in the seat back.  Mine had to be corrected as the cable had slipped out.  It's a 5 min job to get it put right and now is set just perfect.  That applies to fabric or leather.  I'm sure some other members have mentioned it as well.  Someone at the factory with a limp wrist not tightening the grip screw enough and the cable pulls through.

I have the 'connect' system, but not the massive speaker I've been reading about in the new model.  I got mine at the end of July '09.

I've done 1100 miles now!  I don't go out in grotty weather unless it's essential, and last summer wasn't very good.  Hopefully this summer will be better so we can get up the Derbyshire Dales and over to Wales and down to Rayleigh a few times.

Luckily my wife's smaller car (Pug 206) is easier to keep clean so that gets used a lot more whilst my Qq stays in the garage.  Nothing more relaxing than polishing my Qq when it's tipping it down outside.

I've used Meguiars Gold Class Liquid Wax.

Dampen the applicator sponge before using. Puts on a thinner coating that is easy to buff-off.

In between waxes I use Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer: http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/meguiars/ultimate-quik-detailer.aspx

Apply with cotton cloth/micro-fibre cloth.

Apply with the special Tyre Dressing sponge applicator they do:  http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/meguiars/tyre-dressing-applicator-pad.aspx

There's plenty to pass the time.  LOL

PS:  When they do a test they often just apply the wax/detailer to one side in order to show a comparison before/after.

PPS: I didn't have Supagard either.  Waste of money.  I did, though, give my paintwork and windows two coats of Bilt Hamber Auto Balm.  Now that is fairly hard work so make sure you dampen the application cloth, and keep it dampened.

As with all waxes/polishes etc:  FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE BEST RESULTS.

No probs Wink

Where did you get your door sills from?

I am looking at these but they seem quite thin...

Better pics...

..are these the same as yours? Just got a quote for a set from Nissan...£288 (non-illuminated - ouch).

Just got this too, it's awesome - Solar powered LED light (quite pointless but still a nice glow at night)...

No more litter in the car, finally have a place to put parking tickets, tissues and sweets wrappers.

I've got one of these.

Nice red glow when it's charging.

NB: The supplier will also provide a free adaptor clip to suit different types of 12V sockets.

You can see my comment (Al.) if you scroll down.

They come in a variety of colours to suit your interior.

Oh...and I can thoroughly recommend one of these to retrieve any screws etc that fall into inaccessable places.  I have one and used it many times.  Worth its weight in gold when you need it.

You can also get them with a magnetic tip.
