There's discussions about this on t'other forum

Over the past few weeks there has been a lot - and I mean a LOT - of people reporting that DAB (or bluetooth or mp3 via usb) listening is cutting out, and the Connect unit reboots.   Some people who've taken it to Nissan have said that they were told "we've seen loads of these recently".

It cannot be coincidence, and can't be hardware failure to be happening to so many.   I think it is something to do with something in the air - these Connect units get a lot of traffic updates/RDS/GPS etc.   If something has changed in the format of these, maybe the Connect can't cope with it and crashes.

If this theory is correct, then there's nothing any of us can do until Nissan bring out a new software update for the Connect.

I've had no info on the RDS for ages.
I wonder if broadcasting of this has been stopped.
Selecting "Traffic Information" used
to often bring up loads of info in the local area.

UPDATE

I only listen to music from my phone or DAB; I just checked the AM & FM
bands but they are completely unpopulated; I cannot find any stations
on these 2 bands.
Does it happen to anyone else
It may account for my lack of traffic info as I recall that is transmitted on the FM band.

According to information from the web, the FM band hasn't been switched off yet in the UK ...

Thanks UDO; yes it still works on analogue radios, as does AM
just not my Connect.

Been into hidden Service Menu, and showed AM & FM signal strengths OK;
also performed 'System Self Test' which came back as OK.
All this fiddling has given me back stations on AM & FM
