Hey all. I've had my QQ about 5 months now without any major problems. Though a couple of months back I started noticing that my front windows (passenger and driver's side) were very slow at going up and down.
During the cold weather they were an absolute nightmare, but this morning they took a whole new turn for the worse. The driver's side goes down slowly, and then when you try and put it back up it gets incredibly slowly and then gets stuck! You have to wait a few minutes before trying the button again and then it will go up about another couple of centimeters, eventually it will get to the top.
Some times it will suddenly go fast to the top but then won't come back down!
I'm concerned this is electrical, has anyone else experienced anything similar?
I read on here that someone else had problems in the cold with their driver's side door locking, I too had a similar issue with the passenger side refusing to open. Am a bit concerned that the QQ has got some electrical issues spoiling what is otherwise a very very good car that I love very much.

Booney. You need to take your QQ into Nissan. I have heard of people who have had probs with window closing slowly but not like the prob you have. I never open my windows if its frosty. Yep other people have had probs with the door locks. Some have had new locks fitted. so Nissan are aware of the situation.

I think these problems are related to the amount of rainwater that enters via the windows, passes through the doors and only slowly exits through the small drain holes on the bottom of the doors. Mine drip for weeks after a shower Nissan HQ deny this is a problem. Check yours now!

Drain holes may be blocked to still drip so long after rain - potential rust issue - get them checked.

I to have a window problem.
My Qashqai Acenta is 5 months old and during recent months I noticed my drivers window getting slower until one day it stuck. It then slowly freed itself over a couple of hours one mm at a time - it appeared to cut out each time. I took it to my main dealer who said he could not find a problem. He said when it sticks again bring it in.
It stuck again one evening whilst we were out, of course the dealer was closed, we had to come home as could not leave vehicle with open window. It freed itself slowly again over the following few hours. I contacted Nissan who logged it as a fault and asked me to take it in again to the dealer.
As I need a curtosy car I had to wait 2 weeks. When I eventually got it to the dealer he looked at it and informed me that the the window works therefore he could not take it appart as no apparent problem.
Nissan rang me following this by coincidence today and asked that I take it to the dealer who will now investigate however if they cannot find a problem I HAVE TO PAY for diagnostics. I find this wrong as this is obviously an intermittant problem which may not be visible when stripped down. Nissan say this is their policy, I cannot agree with this therefore I have not booked it in yet as awaiting Nissan policy change.

How annoying.
Not the dealer's fault as they won't get paid unless Nissan approve the investigation.
Why not make a short video of it playing up (phone or camera) and show it to your dealer and/or email it to Nissan? You could include a nice soundtrack.........'
