I'm a bit puzzled. Some times when I lock the car with the remote, there are a couple of "bleeps" coming from the car ie as if to confirm it is locked, other times though ...nothing. Is it normal, is it a fault?
Could anyone advise as to why this happens please? Thanks

Mines never beeps when locked.  Maybe something just on the early QQs?

It normally  bleeps if there is a door or the boot not closed properly but if all is well it shouldnt, - although somebody had 1 in Eastenders not long after the facelift came out & theirs bleeped when it was locked/unlocked, I remember several  comments at the time.  Shows how unbelieveble that crappy programme is LOL

Do not forget the boot.. I have had the boot lid not close properly and stop the central locking operating.

Think it bleeps iff you are stood outside car with key, and it is taking a long time for passengers to close doors etc, think it's there in case a car door does get genuinely left open, impatient they are, or stroppy or just cautious! Who knows, but I don't think it's a fault,
P.s have gone inside house and left boot wide open before after a big shop, 12 bags and counting, probably just gave up getting anything else out off boot, thought that looks enough bags on kitchen floor, just happened to put some recycling rubbish out some 20 minutes later and saw, but it wasn't bleeping at that point, probably did and I had allready shut front door, and then gave up on me!

I have heard something similar on my 2013 QQ 360. It is barely audible and is a single tone.

Perhaps we are both going mad??

My 360 bleeps (in a quiet and sophisticated tone) when I've de-activated the internal alarm sensors because the dog is in the car. I've just tried to lock it with the boot , a door or window open and there is no beep , it simply doesn't lock.

I didn't know you could deactivate the internal sensors. I must be doing this inadvertently!

I'll have to break "Man Rule No1" and read the manual

Yes I had to do that too just last week after 7 weeks of ownership. I picked up 2 or 3 handy tips.
Most of it is basic stuff though.

Internal alarm sensors are switched off by turning the ignition switch on and off 3 times (within about 7 seconds I think). Then get out and lock it and you should hear the bleep. Next time you unlock they'll reset back to normal.
My VW had a switch for this. Typical German efficiency for you.

its all in there, deactivating sensors, auto locking at a certain speed (7 mph iirc), setting it so only the drivers door unlocks remotely (apparently thats so noboby can hide round the other side & jump in the passenger door when its unlocked)Big smile

Thanks. I've just set mine to anti hijack unlock. I was concerned about having a 5 door car. Now I can relax a bit!

Just tried out the anti hijack setting, but the auto folding mirrors don't activate on driver door unlock alone. Not until you press the fob twice to unlock all doors, so it defeats the object for me. Neah mind!

Open it with the normal mirror switch once you're in.
