I collected my n-tec yesterday, and my iphone 3G's works no problem. The phonebook copied over and it plays music direct from your iphone via the bluetooth or an iPhone USB cable. Call quality is clear as a bell too.... oh happy days..

I have a BMW M3 for work, and all that money did not get me the ease or the connections the n-tec gives.

The USB charges the phone, and you can control your playlist and music by pressing the AUX on the connect system. Once you hit the ipod menu its like your ipod- Artist, Album or playlist. You can even set TA to play whilst you listen!

I had the bluetooth on for the phone but connected and charged it via the USB...   I then had to drive 25 miles to get some milk to try out the sounds LOL

Heave you had any problems resuming music playback after taking a phone call, I read somewhere else that once you have taken a call on the iphone you need to unplug then plug it back for music to continue to play.

thanks

Yes, when playing music on the iPhone you lose connectivity after a call.  I found the best solution is to use the iPhone via Bluetooth and leave an iPod permanent plugged in via the USB

But then you cant charge the iphone from the usb, guess you could use the 12v plug, has anyone tried using a usb splitter?

To be quite honest I never find charging the iPhone an issue in the car. It took me 8 hours to get home from work when High Wycombe ground to a halt in the snow (instead of the usual 1 hour!) ...  iPhone was still working at a reasonable battery level.  If it got that desperate I  would have plugged it into the USB then.Smile

Hmmm - High Wycombe eh Windsoruk?  We moved from there 6 months ago and I used to have my office on Amersham Hill - very steep - bet it's a bu**er in that snow.  The whole town sits in a steep valley to the north and south...........give HW my love.

PCR I'm not 100% sure what you mean but I did have a BB problem

When I made or received a call, text or email the link between the BB & connect system stayed open even when the call was finished so the radio & satnav stayed muted. Quick fix was to disconnect the bluetooth. Permanent fix was to update the software on the Blackberry

My current version is v4.5.0.124(Platform 2.7.0.92) with bluetooth version 1.1

I tried updating online but that didn't fix it, in the end I had to get vodafone to do the upgrade

Hi
I've read through however I just wanted to be extra sure as I have a slight doubt.

I am in the final stages of purchasing a Qashqai 1.5 dci ntec with 18" alloys (more than likely in white)

I test drove it on Sunday and connected my Iphone 3G (not 3gs) to the bluetooth.  Whilst the missed and receive calls showed on the Nissan Connect screen, the contact list was grey'd out.

I have been told by different things by different salesmen in various garages (one says the contact list works another said it didn't.  Can anyone clarify if this definitely works and if so is their anything you need to do to make it work?

Any help would be much appreciated

Cheers

Jacka

Hi, I've read through the thread & unless I missed it I havn't seen the LG KP500 (Cookie) mentioned. I followed the link to the Parrot site & according to that it should be fine but has anyone here actually tried it?
Cheers

My LG KP500 works no problem Just paired it and transferred my contact list via bluetooth. Mines is the 6 cd player. The only problem I have found is if I make a call via bluetooth, I have to manually turn phone off because it puts up my balance after the call and this stops the blue tooth working until I press ok on the phone.

Hi there,

I have had the same problem with Nokia 6730 and NC and I've solved it.
The problem was in the phone software version.
Mine had "branded" software version for one of Polish operators,
and the software version was 022.001.
The official software version for this phone at Nokia's WEB was 031.022 but I could not
upgrade to it due to the branded software version.
I had to change the product code of 6730 to "non-branded" and then upgrade to 031.022.
Now it works as a dream - clear voice without any distortions.

Check your own software version: *#0000#
Is your phone running dedicated software prepared for particular operator?

Regards,
Piotr.

Seabird, it is in your Bluetooth config for the phone, select the device (nissan connect) and tell it to always allow to connect. Should solve the problem for you
