I have these LED's in my number plate, they seem great and never given any problems. Not the cheapest but seem very stable and no flickering or failures so far and have now been in for a few weeks.

Had cheaper ones in before but they always begin to flicker or give up after a short time.

The best quality is OSRAM. They do colder and warmer light. I bought warmer which is has color as the front DRL LEDs.

do you have any pictures with these fitted. They look very well made but my only concern is the how it lights up. I read the reviews and description but as its a forward facing led i dont know what the light output would be like if you know what I mean. I know it would be good for sidelights but if you have any pics that would be a great help.

Thanks

It's because you buy cheap product... That black thing called resistor is there to create a load to cheat CANBUS. Nissan has no broken bulb alert implemented so you can get rid of the resistor which as you wrote overheat all around. I don't understand how ppl are thinking. This will be already your second purchase if not third 3x £7 = £21. OSRAM costs £17 and doesnt heat up at all, is double bright as the crap shown on the link. Are you so rich that you can buy cheap things? I guarantee you tgat OSRAM LEDs will be still trouble free when you'll sell the car :)

You will be happy with them, they have 360' angle of the beam, just as regular T10 bulb. I was too buying a lot of LEDs from DX or Alliexpress before, none of them last long. Oh, 1 pair yes, they are still functional in old QQ I sold year ago. Important is to buy only those that use driver and aren't saturated with excessive current.

Buy only non CAN-BUS LEDs otherwise they are overheated (or remove load resistors). Nissan unlike VAG doesn't use detection of broken bulb.

Sure you can remove them. The resistor(s) is simply soldered parallel to the connector to simulate load of regular bulb. It produce significant amount of heat which cannot be cooled down as there is usualy no airflow around them.

It has any influence on brightness but creating heat only.

Remove the one with 120 Ohm - (121 on its back). The other ones I see .... better not to say Big smile
You need to make a proper photo from the both sides as I'm not a fortune teller to see what you have got in your plastic bag Wink

OK, try removing doubled resistors on first two photos and on the last one remove only the one with 120Ohm. Let me know whether it works (it must). Cheers.

There is also another option if you don't like how the light spreads (caused by weird design of bulb position inside the plate light). You may have a look to these: http://r.ebay.com/D1bcD3 or http://www.utsch.com/en/produkte/license-plate-frames.html

which QQ you have? There is a difference between face lifted and pre-facelifted version. Face lifted version has ballast and burner as a 1 piece, while the older QQ has removable burner from the ballast. You need to turn it about 20 degrees and take it out. use a piece of mirror if you can't see in to put it back. Watch out, there are plastic pieces which may brake when you force it.
