I would be changing it too. Oil ages quickly. Not only due to the mileage, but also due to the time.

A service with oil change has to be done every 20,000 or 30,000 kilometres (depending on engine and/or type of car) or every 12 months - whichever comes first... (The values for miles may differ....)

Just changed mine and it was very black as is common on diesels. It had only done 10,000 miles since last service but 2 years had passed.

Every used oil is black - regardless of diesel or gasoline engine...

Some major manufacturer's are now using high spec long life oil[and expensive] that are OK for 18,000miles in performance cars.
As long as the oil is the correct spec I would be happy with Nissan service routine , but I do get concerned with the small size of some filters now being used.
My BMW X1 continually amends the time for next Oil service as you drive the car, the Z3 [2002] is scheduled for Oil Service every 15,000mile but I change it every 5000mile [2 years use]
I also get concerned that manufacture say the Gearbox Oil is never changed ---- I read this to be until the box packs up because the oil has worn out.
Changing oil and filters is a lot cheaper than changing the components the oil is protecting, especially if you do it yourself.
I still get the oil hot and then drain it ALL out , I do not trust this idea of sucking it out , garages have admitted they can not get it all out , therefore [in my opinion]some of the rubbish is left in.
