Hi, I have petrol Tekna, year 2007, 1997cc.

It has developed a leak coming from the engine block. From the front looking at engine it is on left hand side of block at the back, between the engine and bulkhead, about half way down. Can only see it with a mirror or phone camera! There is a small machined face about 20mm diameter with a ball bearing in the middle, flush with the face. I have been told that sometimes during engine manufacture, when they need to drill an internal hole in the block, they drill right through the block and then seal the unwanted hole on the outside of the block with a steel ball.

I need to know 100% that this is what it is before a clean the area and use some gasket type sealant on it.

Hopefully the photo can explain it better.
