Hi.
I have a 2015 Qashqai Tekna 1.5dci and have been told to give it a blast down the M4 for a while to keep the particulate filter clear. Do this about once a month. Is this true? Looking for some advice.
Thanks.
Allan

Sure a dieselhead will be along soon, but I would have thought by the mk. 2 they would have resolved this issue with the DPF. WIfey has a 2015 Clio with that engine and before we bought it new I asked about this, particularly as she only does about 4K a year . Salesman said Renault had positioned the DPF so that it burns off by itself (?) . We haven't had a problem in those 2 years so maybe he was telling the truth .
Having said that, why not have a burn up the M4 anyway?

Son has a Isuzu DMax pick-up which has simple increasing bar chart that indicates when a successful regen has taken place ---- why can not cars have this fitted. It does not require a quick run but can regen during normal use.
