I am not sure where this question belongs.

somehow the rear window seal captures water, so when I open the hatch, water comes out from the seal mid-way up the glass, and unless the car is level or slightly higher at the back than the front, runs and drips off into the boot!

this has been a nuisance for some time now, but today was very bad because there was torrential rain which causes the seal to be completely full, so when I unloaded the car having gone shopping, a lot of water ran down!

I'll see if I can get a picture of this to explain.

I am wondering if there's an easy fix, or whether somehow the seal has been displaced so that this can happen?

I did have the boot rattle, which I cured using some thick tape round the hoop on the base of the boot, a problem many people have had, but it shouldn't cause the boot to be offset any significant distance and cause the leak.

thanks for any ideas.
