Hi as most of you know now i work for a Nissan Dealer  in sales and im a Motability Specialist. My Question to you all is although the N-Tec 15.dci is the biggest seller hands down is the N-Tec enough spec for most people?

Consider the Tekna has Leather,Heated Seats,Xenon Headlights,Bose 8 speaker System with Subwoofer in the Boot.I always get asked by Customers why it does not Have Electric adjustable Seats?

What would you as a customer expect to see as standard on the Top Spec Qashqai.Wink

Have to agree on electric seats, also put in auto Windows all round, Though I'd expect this on pretty much all models.
On a personal note I'd love to be able to turn off auto wipers and control the int speed manually.
Seeing that everything else has gone auto, why not get adaptive cruise control. I'd love that and would have swayed my decision to go for the top model.
Other than that, some more 12v sockets, in more sensible places would go down well.

Hi theneilo1.

I think auto  folding mirrors on locking/unlocking would be desired by many.

Oh, and why does the ntec get much nicer wheels than the tekna?

(I tried to resist I really did)

probably on the top both spec cars the n tec and the tekna that the panoramic roof opens would be a good idea

I'm a mobility customer & personally find  the n-tec more than enough, the only thing from the Tekna I would have had is xenon lights. If I was to get a QQ again I'd prob opt for the Acenta with Connect system. The glass roof seemed a good idea at the time but unfortunately we rarely use it.

Yeah I'm not a fan of leather seats (in cars), even if I fancied all the other Tekna additions I would have still chosen the n-tec due to the Tekna's leather.........but each to their own, a couple of mates swear by leather interiors.

leather maybe suited for  ppl who got kids due to making a mess with food n drink in the cars choccy is the worst thing so its easy to wipe down  we got no kids and theres only 2 of us so the acenta is plenty big enough for us

This is what I would like to see on the top spec Tekna....

For Driver/Front Seat passengers:
  • Autofolding Mirrors
  • Electric seat adjustment

For Rear Seat Passengers which seem to be completely fogotten about):
  • B-Pillar Air Vents (or rear air vents in centre console - let's face it, it's big enough) - here's a point, front seat passengers have 4 vents...why do rear seat passengers not get even one...yes, I know air can blow over, but that is not enough - on a hot/cold day...especially when you ahve children.
  • Heated Rear Seats (especially for leather - it's standard on Hyundai/Kia)
  • Built in window blinds in the doors - yes, they are needed even with tinted windows
  • A decent, built-in DVD system including seat back trays.
  • Reading lights (and not in the top/roof)
For All
  • Mood lighting

I will add...it amazes me how little thought has been given to rear seat passengers and their travelling comfort.

Definitely agree on the 12v sockets - one in rear passenger area, and one in boot.

And having kids - more cubby holes for storage would be nice..... nothing big - but enough to pop headphones and DS out the way quickly and easily would be handy.

Oh yes, and headrests that i can strap the DVD players too that don't point upwards from the rear... how do you adjust them??

Yeah I'd agree on the 12v sockets, not reallly a prob for us these days but would have been a few years ago, I was suprised at the lack of them tbh.

Alot on here would like the option of the Chrome Pack on the Tekna, so they have the option of Beefing it up a little, and of course the Ntek wheels as already mentioned. A Tekna owner pointed out he would like a Tekna Badge on his (think others have said this to)....This will all annoy Cowps!!! but im only repeating whats already been said by others.....Wink....Rear Seat tables were somthing the Kids were looking forward to when i was considering the Verso (as Hamish has said). Alot of people say does the sunroof open, but would imagine thats impossible because of the size, but just imagine if it could some how roll back all the Way!!! would be superb.......LOL

Lets face it though, Nissan aint gonna spend loads on their best sellar!!! I would expect the folding wing mirrors and maybe rear vents and a few more CupHolders, but they are not going to alter the luxuarys much. They may keep an eye on these forums and a Bloke from Nissan started a thread at the beginning of the year, just like this for ideas. I would think they will be more interested in what the competion has got, but will enevitably keep the one thing the QQ has over its rivals which makes it so popular.....Its low Price, and to do that, they wont want to add much to it......Confused

[/QUOTE] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
not just top spec but all models.
before nissan start adding extras imo they should improve on what they already have.
ex heating/acon imo total crap and very disapointed in mine ,today (visia model)had to have blower on no3 still not very good/renault scenic used 1 and after a certain time had to switch off for being to cold.
also they should take note of storage compartmens on the scenic, great little cubby holes everywhere.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
also the answers to this topic is fine but are other members prepared to pay for these standard items that they would like to see addedErmm

1- Electric seats with memory.  I am never convinced I've got it back in the same place after the wife has driven.

2-Push button start

3-For +2 a third 12V socket would be welcome, sometimes the one that can neatly be used middle row or boot is needed in both places.

4-Agree with B-pillar air vents

5- Definately not N-Tec wheels..I don't want my car to look like its a Hotwheels toy.

Thats really the point isn't renault1... we all love the QQ - the crossover design is great - I personally find it economical, it's comfy to drive BUT it's not very practical - and Nissan have left out some very STANDARD items that should be included at no extra cost to the customer....
eventually people will start to look beyond the above and look at it as a practical car and then go elsewhere.... thats just my thoughts!!

as all manufacturers do,which annoys meAngrysimple things like extra 12v sockets, rear seat trays, possible window blinds etc,all cheap to nissan to supply when building vehicles, but great expense for the owner to have fitted.

A very BIG suggestion would be to replace the poor horn with twin horns, as the horn that is fitted as standard is rubbishDisapprove
