Hi JohnHGV,
I looked and tried to do them myself, the problems I faced was clearance off the ground and also having to remove the plastic covering from underneath the rear section to properly bolt on to the car. Also, though a lot will say you don't need to drill the side sil to fit if there is that option go for it, from what I got told and read up on if you don't do this it won't be able to support as much weight as you stand on them and also more a chance to rattle whilst driving. In the end I gave up and took to a local independent garage in Chorley where I live that's also a Nissan specialist, he charged me £80.00 to have them fitted along with the mudflaps I had also got off the internet. Let us know how you go with them though. Thanks, Richard...

I have the 1.2 Tekna, hubby fitted mine....( with a little help from me ) He had enough clearance. Didn't have to remove any plastic. But did drill extra holes.
He was a bit apprehensive about fitting them, but found it very easy. Underside of Moogles car might be a little different from mine ? ![]() Tiff |

Viper side steps arrived today, had a quick look and tried the brackets on one side front and rear, front one uses an existing bolt on the chassis
Rear one has a 35mm bolt with spacer and fits through existing hole in plastic panel, problem is there doesn't seem to be any threads for the bolt to fit into, I'm sure it's in the correct position going by the pics supplied on the fitting instructions. Car is a 2015 Tekna 1.2, I think they are the same side steps as fitted to yours Tiffany. Will have another look tomorrow hope fully got the use of a car lift at a local garage. Thank you for the replies |

As above, mine are viper and both front & rear use existing bolts. Both bolts are slighty longer than the original & the rear one is a bigger diameter than the front

Do you have the right side step on the right side of the car, make sure they are not "back to front".

Not tried the side steps yet, got to sort the brackets first.
Tiffany, the holes you drilled are they for the 6 mm bolts on the lip of the cill? Thanks again for all the replies. ![]() Edited by JohnHGV - 08 Jul 2015 at 11:18am |

Got the car raised up today to have a good look where the rear brackets fit and there is nothing there for the supplied 10x35 mm bolts to screw into, all there is are two holes about 17 mm diameter not threaded,I contacted the supplier who emailed some good close up photos of the brackets fitted at their workshop so I know they are definitely in the correct position.so it looks like Nissan may have altered these on the newer 2015 QQ.
I will be contacting the supplier tomorrow to discuss this matter and will more than likely be returning them. So anyone thinking about purchasing the Viper sidebars you need to check the rear bracket fitting positions. |

Got lovely side steps/bars thru' here for about £120 3 years ago and my local British garage fitted them for 50 euros (about £30 at the time). My mechanic had never been under a QQ previously so laid them out on the ground in their correct positions before starting. From that moment to completion 1 mechanic took 15 minutes to assemble and fit perfectly. Bleedin' 'eck, whit a difference! Turns heads from other QQ owners here which is unsurprising since I,ve only ever seen one other QQ with similar steps!

I'll tack this on here rather than starting a new thread.
Relatively new owner with a 2013 360 and side steps are being considered at the moment. Brief research rules out the Nissan units on cost, third party units seem to vary in styles but mainly on descriptions. Is there such an item that will fit with out any drilling?

I'm sure there would have been shed loads of posts on here about this subject although my searching didn't seem to find much. Would you know if is there a preferred brand/supplier of the sidebar to go for?

Here you go. A couple of threads.
side steps side steps They're called "Viper". A few of us went for the same ones. You do need to drill 1or2 holes either side, but doesn't takes long at all. Tiff Edited by Tiffany - 13 Jan 2016 at 5:44am |

Also faffer, most sets have the option not to be drilled, by as tiff says these will be more for cosmetic than actual usage... Placing any weight on them probably wont be good and from what I have heard you could also have the potential for them to rattle up and down as they wont be as secured...
Also, Tiff sourced out the ones I have, the Viper ones and I can't fault them at all... The only thing was I needed to have them fitted as I failed to do this myself... This is the thread of mine where i ahve pics of mine added... Click Here... |

I'm liking his forum with all the replies. The Viper I agree looks the part but I'm not sure if it would be the one for me. Chrome needs cleaning and by the look of some of the pics you do indeed keep your cars clean. As the 360 is basically white (storm) & black, I'd be more inclined to be looking for something alloy or black to complement. If I do go for some it does seem that they would need to be fitted by a third party, so thanks for that heads up.
