I don't post up too many subjects these days, most of the questions I've had have long been answered haha.. but I was left with a new happier question

Has anyone, particularly 1.6 petrol owners (hence the section ) but anyone with any engine included, Noticed significant MPG increases after the second service (think they call it M2..)

Car was serviced at 1 year old, and now 2 year old (in December past)

Now, over the past 1000 miles or so the trip computer said around 32mpg average, The 1000 miles before that averaged 28mpg..

The trip computer was reset a fortnight ago.  a just over 100mile round trip to Glasgow and back after resetting it left me with this

This was mostly motorway, around 65-70 with 2 miles each way at 40 through roadworks.

I was most impressed!!!! The two weeks following reset have seen a further 250ish miles of really mixed driving.. and its reading 38mpg.

I'm pretty happy with 35+ to be honest, was always annoyed with my QQ MPG until now.. it was the only bug bear of the car.. but if it remains above 35mpg then it's damn near a perfect car imo (bit slow or it would be perfect haha)

I always seem to get better milage (39) for about 6 months following a service. Afrer that it tails off to a respectable 36 mpg

Hmmmmm, maybe if you keep the car long enough &  service it regularly you be able to start off with 1/4 tank & after so many miles it will top itself up to 1/2Wink

Due to an impending house move up to Belford and a 55 mile commuteto work and back again 3 days a week, I am strongly thinking that my next QQ will be the 1.6 dci Tenka 4WD stop start. Just need to find the pennies.

Believe me Craig I have been reading up on it on here and keeping any eye on whats been said about it. It looks to be the pick of the bunch engine wise. I want a 4WD version for the winter mornings drives but if the pennies cannot be found a 2WD will have to do. Looking to change sometime in 2013. (Or should I hang on for the new QQ??!!??)

i love the current shape bill and if rumours are true and were moving inline with the rogue then id grab another of these while you can , the rogue does nothing for me tbh, pointy nose and seems to have lost the rugged looks of our qq , im sure people will still buy it but not me im afraid
