Interior: Apart from a cubby hole by the 12v outlet, one in the centre if you opt for 2wd and the dial changes, there's nothing......................or am I missing something....
Obviously "facelift" is just that, a few tweeks outside and job done.
It's a shame there's no change to the crap windscreen vents and I would assume therefore no change to any part of the ventillation.
Why Nissan persist in naff windscreen demisting vents and power is lost on me.

.....yes, I like the front even more having seen the Russian pictures, looks more like the Kuga now, but as the Kuga was an 80% copy of the QQ in the first place that's to be expected. It occurs to me that a mod that should be done is for the tailgate to lift much higher as I've banged my head loads of times when unloading! (6'3)

Not sure whether the more aggressive frontal treatment improves the looks. In profile the lights seem too narrow, it's very Mitsubishi looking up front. The rear lights appear to mimic Renaults new Megane,
and has lost that nice Alfa Romeo-esque look on the original. As mentioned it has stolen a bit of the Kuga's more sporty tones ( slimmer lights / grille ) but IMO has lost some of its individuality, I like the big bold headlamps on my QQ , prominent grille & did I mention those nicely styled rear lights? ![]() Will wait to see 2010 Qashqai in the metal, but the pics really don't rock my boat! |

Spoke to a dealer yesterday: Downloadable brochure on the Nissan website - Buggered if I can find itNo orders to be taken unless they can find one to match customer requirements in a dealership showroom already (West London Nissan only have a 1.5dci Ntec and a 2.0dci Ntec) but they've already had 24 new shape QQ's ordered for Customers.
New QQ to start deliveries into showrooms on 14th Feb

Just took a look at the website and noticed "our" Qashqai is still available to order and is now officially known as the "original Qashqai"
( and best ). The interior of the 2010 model is without question an improvement, the instruments are smarter and appear a bit clearer. It's the looks that are not successful IMO, with a few minor changes the QQ now lacks the cohesive rightness it once had. The droopy slats on the front grill has already been mentioned along with the new "improved" leaner look which smacks of an afterthought .Obviously this is just a minor, keep costs low sprucing up exercise to keep interest going amidst newer competitors. So it's sort of understandable why Nissan have done this, but a completely new QQ designed from the outset to be more honed, lean and aggressive is what's needed if this is where the design is heading. In making the front look more car-like the 2010 QQ appears overly fussy, out of proportion & slightly clumsy depending on the angle viewed . |

I can't believe they've dropped the "Intense Blue" colour
But it does make mine now a "Limited edition" colour

The best pics and video of 2010 Qashqai I've seen so far, thanks for the post. In the video there's an original faded denim Qashqai, it would have been great if they took pics of them together for proper comparison.

I guess this means production is in full swing. Hopefully they will be able to meet the 1st March delivery date for everyone. Can you get this car earlier or is March 1st the official launch date?

The facelift QQ spec on nissan website shows n-tec
Still has roof rails
Still has panoramic roof
Still has rear privacy glass
Still has nissan connect system
No longer has 18" wheels as standard
No longer has electrically folding door mirrors
Now Has body coloured door handles (old n-tec has silver handles).
No mention of aluminium pedal set, assume deleted.

Methinks Nissan are getting greedy..... the spec really doesn't seem to be up to much now... Doesn't seem that great value for money....
By the time I come to change - will be interesting to see what you DO get Fee x |

I think this is Nissan being cheapskates, if they take much more off the Spec you would be as well going for an Acenta...

So they have removed 4 things from the ntec (metal pedals, folding mirrors, 18" wheels and chrome handles) but ADDED to the Tekna... BOSE speakers.
I think they want to sell more tekna's (which makes them more money) by creating an even bigger gap between middle and top models.

The Acenta ( best selling spec to date ) will no doubt still be the default choice for most buyers as it has all the convenient features you could ever want. Compared with equivalent rivals spec, Golf SE ( £100 extra for leather steering wheel ) and Focus Zetec the Acenta's equipment list is impressive.
The fully loaded Tekna and n-tec are fine if that appeals to you, a little too bling for my liking. The other issue is the OTR price of the higher spec QQ's is close to Freelander money, and although maybe not as totally reliable as a QQ, I would opt for the Freelander instead. |

Depends where you're buying from, I got £3,000 of list price (which isn't a special offer) from ukcardiscount.com. I paid the price for a dealer sourced Acenta but instead got a Tekna (2.0dci +2).

You've hit the nail on the head there mate. I was quite surprised at the level of kit we got in our n-tec compared to the Tekna - I even said to the salesman the n-tec model must be flying out the door, he said you're right, that was the main reason they stopped the 18" alloys being standard because there wasn't enough definition between the top of the range level (Tekna) and the n-tec. I make him right. I parked up yesterday 2 places away from another Qashqai in a supermarket and said to the bloke getting in the car "nice n-tec mate" he replied "it's actually a Tekna mate!" - both cars had satin roof rails, the 18" alloys and privacy glass...only looking closer at the headlights I could see they were xenons. It seems Nissan are widening the gap with the deletion of said items. Shame really as it would put me off buying facelift +2 n-tec a few years down the line. |

Hmmmm nice - that makes about 37 different likely shades for MR in real life - but all are acceptable
Looking forward to seeing one in the flesh (in a week's time or so maybe?).
Had another idea for the Magnetic Red owners group name, as I will no longer be a 'Ginger Ninja'..............how about 'Maggie's' in honour of the only leader we have ever had with real ba**s?
