Does anyone know the price of a Tekna+ 19" alloy wheel please? Just had one modified thanks to a New Forest pothole. The modification was, as far as I can see, a failure as it no longer holds air.Unhappy

Frayed knot - but was it on an adopted road? If so - where there's blame, there's a claim

I live in hope that there is a claim G5BOY. Happened in Ringwood so Hampshire County Council. I went back to check this morning, it was 110cm long and 12cm deep. When I reported it their website didn't say that they knew about it, so on the face of it no claim. But I took some pictures this morning and it shows that at some time it had spray marks on the road, now well worn, to identify an area for repair. New wheel is ú242.79 + Vat. Don't know how much a new Michelin tyre will be or if it's damaged. I'll get a new one anyway as I've only done 1800 miles so far don't fancy taking a chance that it might have some hidden defect.

Have to prove the authority responsible has been negligent if you are to be successful with a claim

Good luck.
I've reported a pothole or two on Bournemouth Council site and they fixed them pronto.
The faded spray paint could point to an earlier repair maybe?
New tyre could be the thick end of ú200, so worth making a claim IMO.
Keep us posted.
