Yes, it usually only happens for about 10 minutes, then it's gone.  That's reassuring.

I'm just worried it's the dual-mass flywheel, cos that's expensive to replace.

I think it's normal when it's cold and wet to an extent... as in point 3 below. Does it stop after a few minutes driving?

Clutch Judder is caused by the clutch components and flywheel not meeting concentrically. The friction surfaces rub concentrically causing a low frequency vibration that is transmitted to the car via the engine/gearbox mountings and drive shafts. Causes can be
1) Mis-aligned clutch
2) Clutch wear/broken 'finger' springs
3) Condensation on the flywheel (usually happens on colder nights in which case judder should only last until the condensation has evaporated)
4) Contamination on the clutch such as oil from a leaking gland.

Case 1 will require the clutch to be re-aligned
Case 2 will require a new clutch
Case 3 may happen frequently on colder mornings, but judder will disappear 5 mins into driving.
Case 4 Replacement of the clutch plates

Maybe your clutch is a bit worn? search clutch judder on internet see if it sounds like your problem.
Now I like driving.

Hi all,

I have a 1.5dci 2010.

Recently when you engage the clutch to pull off in first gear then engine is juddering badly at the bite point.
Does it worse when cold but also when warm.

Have put some redex in to clean the injector system.
Dont know what else to do before i pay a fortune for it to go into a garage.

Im sad because I thought this might have been a reliable car....starting to doubt and getting worried.

Any suggestions please?
Thanks
