On a trip recently I was amazed to see the MPG figure in the attached pic. I wasn't driving particularly frugally, so pulled over (honest, officer) and grabbed the photo.

So the challenge is to see who can beat it, and by what amount. 1.5 diesels only, I guess...(function () { return window.SIG_EXT = {}; })()

Over to you! :-)

This an almost normal figure for a 1.5 dCi on a clear run. I find it's more like 51 mpg as an average which for me is quite a few short runs and 3-4 longer runs each week. I did on one magic trip get 80+mpg but 61 is an excellent indication of how frugal this engine can be. Well done.

You can always fool these photos anyway. Reset everything, then set off going down a slow incline just freewheeling and you'll be at 99.9 in no time..

TBH that's pretty normal for a 1.5 QQ on a run, mine will often be in hte mid 60's and if the traffic and lights are right into the 70's (40 miles commute each way) and just to negate those who say it must be downhill I get similar on my return journey. Having said that, the cold weather we're having has had a noticable affect on the mpg!

Hi guys,
my regular runs from Stevenage to Ilfracombe gets this result, notice the overall miles to the tank 770 miles, this is what I used to get from my previous QQ's but this one is 2 galls smaller, result!

Hi Bryan3,
they are previous trips, maybe the same day even not necessarily days. I used to get 60mpg, 700+ tank range from my previous 1.6dci, dealer sold it with 62mpg registered on gauge.

That makes more sense,It registering trips.
We will wave at Ilfracombe on our way past to visit my mum next week.
She lives between Bideford and Holsworthy.

We are taking our 2013 tekna 1.6 cdi so I am hoping for 50 +mpg
It's the trips around the Devon lanes that bring our mpg down, the trip there and back (M5 and m6 behaving) are a nice cruise, but dodging the milk tankers and Devon hedges eats the fuel.
Never seen a locals car without a dent.

Haha Bryan,
Yes dents are the norm, out of town roads are narrow, but they use cow-poo as filler, bring the wash bucket with you, because if the car is clean, the sea gulls are good at covering shiny motors. Have a safe journey down, if you can cruise at 60-65 on the motorway, and you should get 60mpg, good luck.
Just arrived myself from Camberley, 180 miles in my 2014 1.5dci, M3 & A 303, it registered 65mpg, at 60 mph. These are super cars, well done Nissan

My QQ was born and bred in Devon. I bought it from a main dealer in Stockport when it was 3 years old, but the previous keeper was registered in Westward Ho! and it had been bought/registered down there.

How it ends up being sold 400 miles away is beyond me. Probably surplus on the forecourts down there so they spread them around.

Hi Chris,
The car must have been bought from the  local dealership in North Devon is Hamiltons on the Pottington Estate at Barnstaple, I use these and they are very helpful and a credit to the Nissan network, if you were to need them while in the area, hopefully not though.
Good luck.
