Renault, I think. It appears in the front of various Lagunas and Meganes. It works well enough.

Seems to be definitely the Diesels (1.5 and 2.0) for the UK market. A web search for USA, Canada and Australia will should show there engines. Maybe that's why we think they are getting pref treatment, they may be shipped with different engines that don't have delays or something.

Iv had bad experiences with French cars, reliability isnt the greatest.

But with my 2 previous nissans ive been so pleased.

My alerma that ive had since my 18th BDAY which i just sold had 130k on clock and still running fine :) Only had spring problem due to old age, and broken exhaust.

THANK YOU ALMIGHTY ALMERA!!!

Yeah, i've had Nissans & Renault in the past. I have to say that my experience of Renault almost put me off buying a Qashqai when I realised quite how much Renault have to do with the car.

Probably just my own pretty prejudice against French cars - but the stats do suggest they're less reliable than practically everything else out there (except maybe Italian ones).

An old Volvo I had many years ago (343DL I think) had a Renault engine and that was rubbish, now I think of it. throttle problems I recall and gutless. Towed to scrap yard after the Crank shaft broke.

Hey, where did my last post go? I take it I must of trod on someones toes? Ok, apologies if my deleted post caused offence. I have re written, toned it down, a bit.
The 2.0 dci M9R is a Renault/Nissan engine.
The 1.5 dci K9K is a Renault engine.

Renault not great for reliability from my experience. Nissan alot better.

Did have a Nissan Qashqai 1.6 NTEC, faded denim. Boot mat, mudflaps, carpet mats, illuminated sills, bumper protector. An ex-QQ owner!
