2009 qashqai, the wipers were lifted up a few times by local youths i guess and then recently have stoped worked. all 30 amp fuses seem ok. i cant hear the motor trying to work. any other ideas?

Stopped working on mine, car hasn't been used used over festive period, cleared snow off today worked once then stopped, checked fuse, fuse ok, moved wiper arms by force worked once then stopped again, now dead can't even hear motor trying to work.

Sounds like a new wiper motor is needed.

Took the wiper motor of today, gave it a clean and grease but no good, work's a few times then seizes up and blows a fuse, Time for a new one ;(

funny you shoudl say that mate, they started to work, alittle noisey, then stopped after abit, new motor time probably

is there any guides on removing the motor, removed plenty on other cars, no doubt it will be a similar job,  always handy to check workshop manual/guide etc

Very easy, take both wiper arms off first then either side of the windscreen plastic cowl there is a sponge part that needs
Detaching from wing top rails, they are just glued on, then I think it's 4 or 5 plastic push in fixing's that hold the cowl in place, then lift off and pull forward, but watch on the left hand side as the washer tube goes through the cowl.
4 bolts hold the motor and arms in place, that's it

thanks mate, aye it was easy enough, not easy finding a motor though.

some the magnetic part seems to broke away inside the black casing, but the motor is working for now, is it repairable?
